Alter Bracelet in 18K white gold – Ethiopian Opal of 46ct, 4cts of Tanzanites, 2.4ct of Rubilites, 1.46ct of Emeralds, 0.1ct of Paraiba Turmalines, and 3.46ct of Diamonds.

The piece was inspired by a traditional head ornament worn by Indigenous groups of Brazil, the cocar, and was created after a trip to Amazonia with a visit to the Borari group in Alter do Chão. The cocar is a headdress made from colorful feathers from vibrant birds, and carries great symbolic and cultural significance, varying according to each group’s traditions, but often used as a marker of leadership, identity, and spiritual connection. The piece is a homage to Brazilian cultural heritage, connection with nature, and abundance of resources. It blends geometric shapes, symmetry, and stylized elegance from Art Deco with a local identity, featuring precious stones in vivid colors in a contemporary version of the style, which in Brazil emerged as a symbol of progress, refinement, and national pride at the beginning of the last century.
