The brand’s creations are an effort to raise awareness about the Brazilian relevance to the global market as one of the main gemstone sources in the world. Tradition

Dorion Soares, the brand founder and designer, carries a deep personal connection to Brazil’s most precious natural treasures. He is the second generation in the gemstones market and carries the legacy of technical expertise and passion left by his father, José Soares da Costa, also known in the gemstone market as Zé Pretinho.

Raised in Teófilo Otoni, Minas Gerais, the heart of Brazil’s gemstones market, he had the privilege to grow up observing his father work as a specialist in raw Aquamarine and respected trader. Working with him, Dorion could learn how to select high-quality gemstones with rigor and gain access to Brazilian sources.

Philosophy

Our creations start with the stone and nature sets the rules: color, volume, structure and availability guide the creative process. Dorion designs to highlight the innate beauty of the stones and honor Brazilian nature and rich heritage.
